This Book Club is for you if:

  • You are concerned for your children's spiritual health
  • You want to sow seeds in their lives, for today and the future
  • You are willing to pay a small fee every month
  • You love sharing books with your kids (grandkids/Sunday School kids/any kids in your life)!
  • You want lots of engaging, faith-based activities for them to do

How does it work?

  • The Dernier Book Club is an online resource. Every month we will provide web pages full of fun, engaging activities for your children to do, related to the Book of the Month, to help your children engage with the story at a deeper level.
  • Every month there will be a competition!
  • Full Membership (UK only): Every month you will receive one exciting story from the Dernier Publishing list, in the mail!
  • Mini Membership (worldwide): Perhaps you already have the whole range of Dernier books on your shelf! This option is for you. If you don't already have the book, but live outside the UK, you can purchase the book, or the ebook, yourself.

Janet is founder of Dernier Publishing

Janet will be making sure everything runs smoothly for you. She has three grown-up children, three grandchildren, and lives in London.


Sharon is the Dernier Book Club Manager
Sharon will be using her God-given creative talents to bring you all the activities, competitions, and fun. Sharon has spent the last 18 years in Peru as a missionary, but now lives in Liverpool. (She used to be a primary school teacher, so she knows exactly what kids love!)



FAQs

  • Are there any hidden extra costs? If you choose the Full Membership option, there is no extra cost. You will have access to all the online material, plus you will receive a paperback in the post. Shipping is also included. If you choose the Mini Membership option, you will be directed to the Amazon kindle version of the Book of the Month, where you can buy the book for yourself. That's why it's cheaper!
  • I don't have a kindle - can I still join the Mini Membership option? Absolutely! You can actually read the kindle book on any digital device, or you can source the book locally.
  • When can I join? Any time, but don't delay - if you leave it, your children will have grown up!
  • I don't live in the UK. Can I still join? Absolutely! Instead of receiving the book of the month in the post, you will be directed to buy the book on Amazon's kindle store, where you can order it and start reading straight away on many digital devices (phone, i-pad, laptop, pc etc). Or you can source the book locally.
  • How long does the Book Club Subscription last? For one year.
  • What ages are the books for? For readers aged around 8-11. Children vary both in their reading levels, and levels of understanding, so if your children are a bit older, or a bit younger, that's fine. (Actually, many adults tell us they love the books too!)
  • Will I know in advance which book I will receive? Nope! That would spoil the surprise. :-)
  • Can I buy more books? Of course! As a Book Club Member you will have access to 10% discount off every book you purchase direct from the Dernier Publishing website (UK only).
  • I don't live in the UK. Can I join? Because of the prohibitively high cost of shipping outside the UK, and customs tariffs, we can only post books to UK addresses, so please join the Mini Membership option.
